What was recalled: Steve’s Real Food and Quest pet food

Steve’s Real Food is voluntarily recalling three types of frozen pet food under the Quest and Steve’s Real Food brand name due to possible contamination with Salmonella and/or Listeria monocytogenes.

The recalled products are 5lb. Turducken Recipe (Lot# J155), 2lb. Quest Emu Diet (Lot# B138), and 2lb. Quest Beef Diet (Lot# A138). The affected products were distributed nationwide and Best By dates of 6/4/19, 8/18/19, and 8/18/19, respectively.

No pet illness has been reported to date, but any consumers of the affected lot codes are urged to return remaining food to the place of purchase for a refund. Dogs with Salmonella/L.mono poisoning may exhibit lethargy, diarrhea, fever, vomiting, decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain. If your pet consumed the recalled product, please visit your veterinarian. If you purchased the affected lot, please return it for a full refund.
