What was recalled: Chicken & Potato Dry Dog Food

Natural Life Pet Products is voluntarily recalling its 17.5 lbs. bags of Chicken & Potato dry dog food due to elevated levels of Vitamin D because of a formulation error. Excess consumption of Vitamin D can lead to vitamin D toxicity, which was reported by three pet owners.

The affected lot has a Bag UPC of 0-12344-08175-1 and a Best By date of 5/29/2020 through 8/10/2020. This food was distributed to retail stores in Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and California.

Symptoms of Vitamin D toxicity in dogs include vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling, and weight loss. If your dog consumed the affected product, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian.
