Cause: Potential contamination with Salmonella

What was recalled: Select Small Dog Bite Size Beef & Egg Recipe Dog Food

Freshpet Inc. is voluntarily recalling a single lot of Freshpet® Select Small Dog Bite Size Beef & Egg Recipe Dog Food due to potential Salmonella contamination. This lot was meant for destruction but was mistakenly shipped to retailers in Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, and Southern California between June 7 and June 10, 2021.

The affected products are sold in 1lb. bags with a Sell By date of 10/30/2021 and a Lot code of 1421FBP0101. No pet illness has been reported to date, but any consumers of this pet food are urged to throw it away.

Dogs with Salmonella poisoning may exhibit lethargy, diarrhea, fever, vomiting, decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain. If your pet consumed the recalled product, please visit your veterinarian. If you purchased the affected lot, please return it for a full refund.
