What was recalled: Natural Selections and ZooLogics Fresh Raw Meals for Dogs

Darwin’s Natural Pet Products is voluntarily recalling four lots of dog food after tests showed the presence of Salmonella in some of the Chicken and Duck with Organic Vegetables Meals for Dogs and both Salmonella and E.Coli O128 in the Turkey with Organic Vegetables Meals for Dogs. These bacteria can cause serious illness in both dogs and humans.

These products are sold to customers through a subscription service, and customers who purchased them have been notified about the recall directly. They include Natural Selections Chicken with Organic Vegetables Meals for Dogs 2lbs., Natural Selections Duck with Organic Vegetables Meals for Dogs 2lbs., ZooLogics Chicken Meals with Organic Vegetables for Dogs 2lbs., and ZooLogics Turkey with Organic Vegetables Meals for Dogs 2lbs.

Darwin’s has not received any reports of illness in pets to date. Dogs with Salmonella poisoning may exhibit lethargy, diarrhea, fever, vomiting, decreased appetite, fever, and abdominal pain. If your pet consumed the recalled product, please visit your veterinarian.
