Dog Food Recall: Columbia River Natural Pet Foods Inc. Expands Recall to Include Cow Pie and Chicken & Vegetables Fresh Frozen Meats for Dogs and Cats Due to Possible Health Risk

Cause: Possible contamination with Salmonella and Listeria. Monocytogenes

What was recalled: Dog and Cat Fresh Frozen Meats

Columbia River Natural Pet Foods is voluntarily expanding a previous recall to include additional products that may be contaminated with Salmonella and Listeria. Monocytogenes. The affected fresh and frozen meat for dogs and cats was produced in July 2018 and November 2018.

The affected products were distributed in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington via both retail stores and delivery. The Cow Pie comes in frozen 2 lbs. purple and white plastic bags labeled with Lot #72618 on an orange sticker. The Chicken & Vegetables product comes in frozen 2lbs. turquoise and white plastic bags with Lot #111518 on an orange sticker.

 No illnesses have been reported to date, but consumers are urged to discontinue feeding and return it for a full refund or exchange.
